Build the packages you sell, with disk, bandwidth, email, database and feature limits.
A hosting plan is a package of limits and features. Every customer account uses exactly one plan, so create your plans before you create customers.
Creating a plan
- Sign in to HostPanel and go to Plans → Create Plan.
- Enter a name, such as "Starter", and an optional description.
- Set the Resource Limits (see the table below).
- If shown, set the Resource Isolation values: CPU, memory and process limits for each account.
- Choose the Access Permissions: SSH (none, jailed or full), FTP, MySQL, cron jobs, SSL and backups.
- Under System, set the status to Active. Switch on Default if this plan should be preselected for new customers.
- Save.
The main limits
| Limit | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Max domains | How many websites the customer can add |
| Disk quota | Total space for files, email and databases |
| Monthly bandwidth | Website traffic allowed each month |
| Max subdomains | How many subdomains the customer can create |
| Email accounts | How many mailboxes |
| Databases | How many MySQL databases |
| FTP accounts | How many extra FTP logins |
| Cron jobs | How many scheduled tasks |
Staying within your own limits
The My Limits card shows how much of your own allowance is left. As you type, each field turns yellow when you are close to a limit and red when you are over it, and the plan cannot be saved until everything fits. Options your own reseller plan does not include are hidden.
