SSL certificates for every kind of website
Every Twerple hosting plan comes with a free certificate that renews itself. When you need more, such as cover for all your subdomains or your verified company name in the certificate, choose from the options below.
Why every website needs SSL
A certificate does three jobs at once: it protects your visitors, it stops browsers from warning them away, and it is one of the signals search engines look for.
Protects What Visitors Send You
Passwords, payment details and contact forms travel between the browser and your server in encrypted form, so nobody in between can read them.
Helps Your Search Ranking
Google has treated HTTPS as a ranking signal since 2014. A valid certificate is a basic requirement for competing in search results today.
No “Not Secure” Warnings
Chrome, Safari and Firefox flag sites without a valid certificate. The padlock in the address bar is the first thing many visitors check before they trust a page.
Choose the Right Certificate
Start with the free certificate included in your hosting, or step up to a commercial certificate with a warranty, wildcard cover or extended validation.

Frequently Asked Questions
The questions we hear most often about certificates.
What is the difference between DV and EV certificates?
A Domain Validated (DV) certificate confirms that you control the domain and is usually issued within minutes. An Extended Validation (EV) certificate also verifies your registered company, which takes a few days, and shows the company name in the certificate details. Both encrypt traffic in exactly the same way.
Can I upgrade my SSL certificate later?
Yes. You can move from the free certificate to a Standard, Wildcard or EV certificate at any time from your Twerple account. The new certificate replaces the old one with no downtime.
Is the free certificate good enough?
For most websites, yes. Let’s Encrypt uses the same encryption standards as commercial certificates and renews itself every 90 days. Choose a paid certificate when you need wildcard cover, a warranty, or your company name verified in the certificate.
