Host a second website on your plan: create the domain, choose its settings and point it to Twerple.
Most Twerple plans can host more than one website. Each domain you add gets its own folder, its own settings and its own SSL certificate. The number of domains you can add depends on your plan.
Adding the domain
- Sign in to HostPanel and go to Domains → Create Domain.
- Enter the domain in Domain Name without
wwworhttps://, for exampleexample.com. - If the options are shown, choose the PHP Version and leave Web Server on Nginx & Apache (Recommended) unless you know you need something else.
- Under SSL Certificate, choose Let's Encrypt (Free). Turn on Force HTTPS Redirect if you want every visitor sent to the secure version of your site.
- Click Create Domain.
When it is done, a summary shows the website's folder (its document root), PHP version, SSL status, server IP and nameservers. Use the shortcuts on that screen to create an email account or a database for the new domain.
You can also add a domain from the Domains tab of your hosting in the client area.
Next steps
- Point the domain to Twerple at the company where it is registered.
- Upload the website into the new
public_htmlfolder, or install WordPress on it. - If the SSL certificate could not be issued because the domain was not pointing to us yet, issue it again once the DNS has updated. See Installing a free SSL certificate.
If you see "limit reached"
You have used all the domains your plan allows. Remove a domain you no longer need, or contact us to move to a plan with more websites.
Deleting a domain permanently removes its website files, databases, email accounts and DNS records. Take a backup first.
