What the dashboard shows, where to find your server IP address and nameservers, and how the menu is organized.
The dashboard is the first page you see after signing in to HostPanel. It gives you a summary of your account and quick access to everything else.
The summary cards
Across the top you will see counters such as My Domains, My Emails, My Databases and FTP Accounts. Each one shows how many you have created.
Your resources
Depending on your plan, the dashboard shows gauges for CPU, memory (RAM) and Disk Quota, or a Resource Limits card with your monthly bandwidth and how many domains, databases, email accounts, subdomains, FTP accounts and cron jobs you are using out of your allowance. See Understanding your plan limits and resource usage for what the numbers mean.
Quick Stats: your IP address and nameservers
The Quick Stats card lists the details you need most often when setting up a domain:
- Public IP: the IP address of your hosting server. Use it when you point a domain with an A record.
- Nameservers: the nameservers to set at your domain registrar if you want Twerple to manage the domain's DNS.
- Hostname: the name of the server your account lives on.
The menu
The menu on the left groups the tools by area:
| Menu | What you will find there |
|---|---|
| Domains | Your domains, DNS zones, SSL certificates, subdomains and redirects |
| Email accounts, forwarders, autoresponders and webmail | |
| Databases | MySQL databases, database users, remote access and phpMyAdmin |
| Files | File Manager, FTP accounts and disk usage |
| WP Toolkit | WordPress installation and management |
| Backup | Creating and restoring backups |
| Tools | Cron jobs and SSH access |
| Security | Security tools available on your plan |
Tip: right-click a domain in Domains → Domain List for a shortcut menu to create an email account, database, cron job or FTP account for that domain without leaving the page.
