Send email that arrives at one address to one or more other addresses, with or without a mailbox.
A forwarder sends every message that arrives at one address on to other addresses. For example, info@example.com can go to three people's personal mailboxes, without a mailbox of its own.
Creating a forwarder
- Sign in to HostPanel and go to Email → Forwarders.
- Start a new forwarder and enter the address to forward: the user name and the domain.
- Add the addresses to forward to, one per row. You can add as many as you need.
- Choose your delivery preference and save.
Managing forwarders
- Use the status switch to pause a forwarder without deleting it.
- Use edit to change where it forwards to.
- To change the address being forwarded, delete the forwarder and create a new one.
Things to watch out for
- Loops: never forward two addresses to each other. The messages bounce back and forth and are lost.
- Forwarding to Gmail, Outlook.com or Yahoo: these services sometimes treat forwarded mail as spam, especially when the original sender has strict security settings. For important mail, use a mailbox and add it to your mail app instead.
- One forwarder per address: each address can have only one forwarder, but it can send to many destinations.
