Download a copy of your database as a backup, or to move it somewhere else.
The quick way: the Backup action
- Sign in to HostPanel and go to Databases → MySQL Databases.
- Click Backup next to the database.
- A compressed copy is created and you can download it straight away.
With phpMyAdmin
- Open the database in phpMyAdmin.
- Click the Export tab.
- Leave Quick and format SQL selected, and click Export (or Go).
- The
.sqlfile downloads to your computer.
To export only some tables, choose Custom, select the tables and export.
Your databases are also included in the daily backups we take of your account, and in any backup you create in Backup → Create Backup. An export is useful for a quick copy before a big change.
