Making WordPress faster with Boost

1 min read • Updated 2 weeks ago • WordPress

Turn on Redis object and page caching for WordPress with one switch.

Boost speeds up WordPress with Redis caching. It keeps database results and finished pages in fast memory, so pages load faster and your site handles more visitors on the same plan.

Boost is available on plans that include Redis object caching.

Turning on Boost

  1. Sign in to HostPanel and go to WP Toolkit → WordPress Sites.
  2. Select your site and click Boost.

Once it is on, the panel shows how many pages and items are cached and how much memory is used.

Settings

  • Cache time (TTL): how long a cached page is kept, from 5 minutes to 24 hours. For sites that change often, use a shorter time; for sites that rarely change, use a longer one.
  • Flush Cache: clears everything, so visitors see your latest changes straight away. Use it after you edit pages or change your theme.

Using another caching plugin?

Do not combine Boost with another page-caching plugin, because two caches can show visitors outdated pages. Choose one. Image-optimization plugins are fine alongside Boost.
