Install, activate, update and remove plugins and themes, on one site or several at once.
You can manage plugins and themes from inside WordPress as usual, or from the WP Toolkit, which is handy when you look after several sites.
Managing what is installed
- Sign in to HostPanel and go to WP Toolkit → Plugins (or Themes).
- Select your site on the left. Its plugins appear under the Installed tab.
- Use the buttons on each row to Activate, Deactivate, Update or Delete.
Tick several rows to act on them together, or use Update All to bring everything up to date.
Installing new plugins
- Open the store tab and search for the plugin by name.
- Click Install & Activate, or Install Only to activate it later.
Working on several sites at once
Tick two or more sites on the left. You can then install a plugin on all of them in one go, or update every plugin across all the selected sites.
Good habits
- Delete plugins and themes you do not use. Inactive plugins can still be a security risk.
- Only install plugins that are actively maintained and well reviewed.
- Keep at least one default WordPress theme installed as a fallback.
