Cancelling a service

1 min read • Updated 2 weeks ago • Your Twerple Account

The two ways to cancel, what happens to your data, and how to ask for a refund.

  1. Open the service and click Cancel Service.
  2. Choose when it should end (see below).
  3. Tell us why you are leaving if you like. It helps us improve.
  4. Click Confirm Cancellation. If you change your mind on this page, click Keep Service.

End of Billing Period or Immediate?

OptionWhat happens
End of Billing PeriodThe service stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. You keep full access until then, and there are no further charges.
Immediate CancellationThe service is cancelled straight away and all data and access are removed. This cannot be undone.

Before you cancel, download any website files, databases and email you want to keep. See Creating your own backup.

Asking for a refund

Web Hosting, WordPress Hosting and Reseller Hosting come with a 14-day refund. To use it, choose Immediate Cancellation within 14 days of your first order and mention in the reason box that you are asking for a refund. VPS, dedicated servers, Website Builder plans, web development, domains and issued SSL certificates are not refundable. Our Refund Policy has the full details.

Changed your mind?

After an End of Billing Period request, the service page shows the date the cancellation was requested. If you want to keep the service after all, open a ticket before the end date and we will cancel the request.

Cancelling hosting does not cancel a domain. Domains renew separately; turn off Auto-Renew on the domain if you do not want to keep it.
