DOMAIN TRANSFER • ONE YEAR ADDED ON MOST TRANSFERS

Move your domain to Twerple without a minute of downtime.

Bring your domains together in one account, with clear renewal prices, full DNS control and WHOIS privacy included. Your website and email keep working while the transfer goes through.

For most extensions, a transfer adds one year to your current expiry date.

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps, then we take it from there

The first two steps happen at your current provider and take a few minutes. The rest is handled by Twerple.

1

Unlock Your Domain

Sign in to your current provider and switch off the transfer lock, sometimes called the registrar lock, for the domain you want to move.

2

Get Your Authorization Code

Request the authorization code, also known as the EPP code or transfer key. Most providers show it in the domain settings or email it to you.

3

Start the Transfer Here

Enter the domain above, add the authorization code at checkout and approve the confirmation email when it arrives. We keep you updated until the domain is in your Twerple account.

Transfer Pricing

One flat fee per extension. For most extensions, the fee also adds a year to your renewal date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my website go offline during the domain transfer?

No. A transfer changes who manages the domain, not where it points. As long as you keep the same nameservers and DNS records, your website and email continue working exactly as before.

How long does a domain transfer take?

Most transfers complete within five to seven days, which is the standard waiting period set by the registries. If your current provider lets you approve the transfer from their control panel, it can finish within a few hours.

Why might a transfer be refused?

The most common reasons are a domain that was registered or transferred within the last 60 days, a transfer lock that is still switched on, or an authorization code that does not match. Check these three with your current provider and try again. If you are still stuck, our support team will sort it out with you.
