Turn on two-step verification, change your password and see where your account is signed in.
Open Settings and choose Account Security, or click your name and choose Security & 2FA.
Turning on two-step verification
With two-step verification (2FA) on, we email a 6-digit code to you each time you sign in. Someone who learns your password still cannot get in without access to your mailbox.
- Under Email Verification Codes, click Configure.
- Confirm with your current password and click Turn On 2FA.
Next time you sign in, enter the code from the email and click Verify & Proceed. We strongly recommend keeping 2FA on, and protecting the mailbox it uses with a strong password of its own.
Changing your password
- Under Change Password, enter your current password.
- Enter the new password twice.
- Click Save Changes.
Use a long password that you do not use anywhere else. A password manager makes this easy.
Active sessions
Active Sessions lists the device you are using now and your recent sign-ins. If you see a sign-in you do not recognise, change your password straight away, make sure 2FA is on and open a ticket so we can check the account with you.
Your client area password is separate from your HostPanel, email and WordPress passwords. Changing one does not change the others.
