Search for a domain name, add it to your cart and register it.
- Open Domains and click New Domain, or click Search under Register or Transfer Domain on the dashboard.
- Type the name you want and click Search Domain.
- Pick an available extension and click Add to Cart.
- In your cart, choose the registration period.
- Check out and pay. See Ordering a new service.
The domain is registered as soon as payment is confirmed, and it appears under Domains.
Tips for choosing a name
- Keep it short and easy to spell when you say it out loud.
- Avoid hyphens and numbers if you can.
- Register the obvious variations, such as .com and your country’s extension, so nobody else can.
- Check that the name does not use someone else’s trade mark.
Your contact details
Domain registries need correct owner details. Some registries check them by email, and a domain can be suspended if the email is not answered. Keep the email address on your account up to date and look out for that message after you register.
